Bookings now open- Narelle's next workshop series

Hello Lovely ladies!

I'm very excited to bring you some sneak peaks of my next workshop series, using the gorgeous and very versatile October Afternoon "Cakewalk" range!

This class series will feature 2 workshops. 

In the first workshop on Friday October 12th (10.30am or 7.00pm) we'll be creating a single layout.  The title and theme will be completely up to you!

The second workshop on Friday October 26th (10.30am or 7.00pm) will have you creating a double page party layout, suitable for male or female photos, and would work for adult party photos just as well as kids party photos!

Bookings are now open, and you'll need to book early so we can order the stock for you!

Help some worthy causes ...

Pop in on Friday and support 2 worthy causes that Scraphaven is supporting this month ...

We have these delightful butterfly badges to support the Deafness Foundation, in a range colours

just $2 each, to match any outfit!

And close to my heart is the Orphanage from Chibobo, we have soaps for sale at $5 each.

These soaps are for removing stains from clothes and carpets.  Each $5 helps to keep one child at school for one month.  How much is a cup of coffee and cake these days?  Great small gift, come and make a decorated box to place the soap in, have one on hand for those times when we just want to say 

"Thank you!"

Starting next month we will begin our" Love in a Shoebox Appeal" ~ more details later on how you can get involved to help change a life of one small child!

Just dropping in to give you an update on the Copics workshops coming up this week, hope you have your Copics at the ready for some fabulous colouring fun!

Saturday 25th of August
  Beginners #1 workshop

Starting at 9.00am to approx 12.00

We will be learning all the fabulous ways to use the Copic markers, finding out why they are so good and stating to build our Copic colouring skills.

How to care for your markers
Inks and papers
Basic blending
Basic colour selection
Using Copics on different mediums

A look at one of the projects we will be completing

Please bring along to the beginners class  your:

• Paper trimmer
• fussy cutting scissors
• ruler
• scalpel or blade 
• double sided tape
• Foam tape
• Copic Markers - if you have some, (please make sure they are labelled), if not they will be supplied
• As always your Passion for colouring!

As always the colours are changeable, you can colour with any combination you wish!

Narelle's Workshop, 24th August

Hello lovely ladies!

If you have booked in for my workshop on Friday 24th August at 10.30am or 7.00pm, it's time to start organising your photos (the class might be a bit boring if you dont have the photos this time!)

We'll be using the Echo Park "Note to Self" 6x6 papers for both the layout and the printers tray, and you can create whatever theme you like by the photos you use-  make it a gift for Dad, create a layout that celebrates family- or even a memento of a holiday!  Its up to you! 

For the Printer's Tray you will need
8 portrait orientation photos that can be trimmed to measure 7cm x 9.5cm.

For the layout you'll need
8 portrait orientation photos that can be trimmed to measure 6cm x 8cm..

 You'll also need your basic kit containing:-

• Paper trimmer and scissors
• double sided tape
• foam tape or foam squares/dots
• Quick drying strong glue-  helmar 450 is perfect
• Light brownish/green ink(I have used Tim Holtz Distress ink in "Old Paper")

10.30am ~ LYN'S WORKSHOP using Kaiser's Magnolia range. 
                                            Cost~ $20

You will be using washi tape, stamping your own backgrounds, making your own unique embellishments.  Photo's used were 6" x 4" landscape.
Bring along ... foam dots, double sided tape,glue dots, hole reamer (piercing tool) and old mouse pad if you  have one.
