Just to let you know that the Shoe boxes need to be returned this Friday, 25th October
or to St. Andrew's Uniting church. Sunday, 27th Oct. by 9.15am.
All are welcome to join us for a Dedication Service for the Boxes at 9.30am.
It was great to have such support last year and l am thankful we are able to support this worthy cause once again. For those who have not participated before it is great fun. You simply buy a box from me at 50c each and then go shopping to fill it with some needy surprises for those not as fortunate as our own children. It is a great family activity to do. There is a list with each shoebox of ideas of what to put in and another list of things that cannot go in, due to quarantine regulations. You simple then choose the age and sex of the child you would like to buy for. They ask you to reinforce your box once you have put it together and to discard all packaging from items. They recommend to place all items in a drawstring bag or a large plastic zip lock bag so items do not get dislodged during transporting.
Joan has some drawstring bags and a few items for purchase this Friday if anyone needs any.
